I wonder why that is. Oh yeah, cuz they said it and it didn't come true. Could this be the first of many misconceptions that will be proven wrong? You PS3 fanboys better hope it's the last.

I'll take functionality over looks any day. If you don't like how it looks, get a decal or something. (I like my skull covered 360) In addition to being a video game platform, it's also a place for me to put my controllers when I'm not using them so I don't lose them. (I wish wireless controllers and TV remotes, etc. had a beep function activated by a button on the home unit like my cordless home phone does.) I'll admit I also use it to place drinks on.
Last generation, I stacked my...

I agree this has gone on far too long and I'm ashamed that I let somebody bait me into talking about something other than the subject at the top of the page. I got carried away trying to convince someone that our constitution is fundamentally a good thing and the freedoms guaranteed by it are unequivocably good as well. We will never see eye to eye on this, but I'm glad the law's on my side.
I'm also glad the law's on my side when it comes to free speech, or else the censorship advoc...

And that's not the case with the PS# community? Either you have selective hearing (or reading I guess) or you consider Sony fanboys the mainstream and only the XBOX fanboys are bad.
These are the kinds of comments that turn me away from the PS# community, instead of just enjoying what is almost definitely going to be a great console and accepting it for what it is (or will be), you "must" downplay the competetion everyday. If you don't like it don't buy it otherwise "li...

It's www.outpost.com if you want to buy it over the internet. I did. It's a good deal. I saved $10, and will have it within a week, but that's cool cuz I don't have much time to play this week anyway. Plus I still need to finish Prey anyway.

Where to start? You live in California, the most populous state in the nation. Of course the cops can get to your house quickly. There are tons of them. You probably live in a city too. Hate to be the one to break this to you, but the US isn't made up entirely of cities.
Next, try to find a gun on ebay. Do it now, before you read the rest of this. Couldn't find one could you? Why not? They don't allow you to sell them. Why not? You need to undergo a background check to purch...

Oh, I see, when confronted with a well thought out post that conflicts with your opinions, you make personal attacks. Let's see. I'm an animal rather than a human, people like me are the reason the world is going down the drain, my mentality is fundamentally flawed, I'm greedy because I work for a living and don't want the fruits of my labor stolen from me, my manhood is questioned, as is my ability to safely own and handle a device I thoroughly know inside and out. Seriously dude, do you ...

Good call on Einhander. I totally forgot about that game. It was pretty cool. Rad Racer? Even I didn't like that game when it came out. Erghiez's dungeon mode was alright, but overall the game wasn't that great. Bushido Blade was also OK, but nothing special.
But making games from multiple genres doesn't make those games better, or even make the programmers better. Not making games from multiple genres doesn't make the programmes worse at what they do. In fact, it ...

If we erase one of our freedoms guaranteed us by the Bill of Rights, what's to stop us from getting rid of free speech. Apparently gun ownership was very important to our founding fathers or they wouldn't have made it part of the second amendment. The SECOND. The only thing more important to them was free speech. Eliminating such an important amendment would set a very dangerous precedent. If you're gonna go all the way to the second, why not go all the way to the first, not to mention g...

I live in the US and know most gun laws inside and out. Everyday citizens can't buy machine guns. At least not in my state. Use a different (and well researched) example or be made a fool of.
Oh yeah, also if our country is so "rotten," why are you a fanboy of OUR system and OUR games?
Lastly, It takes the police 10-15 minutes to get to my house. How are they going to protect me if someone breaks into my house with a weapon intent on causing me IMMEDIATE harm?

Carmack and id Software have been a major factor in the PC games industry. The PC is in many ways the console that all others base theirs on. Would games such as Halo even be around if it weren't for games such as Doom and Quake back in the day? As for id, they do what they're good at. Like Square makes RPGs all the time. Any time they try a different genre, the game sucks. Maybe id doesn't want to make poor quality games. Also since they stick to what they know (PC and 360 hardware) t...

First off, Carmack didn't make Quake 4. Raven Software did, and Carmack is nowhere in the credits. Yes he does like the PC. Where do you think the FPS genre originally came from? The PC. And who put it there? id Software with the help of John Carmack. Truth is, a console is an extremely specialized PC. That specialization is games. id Software makes games. There is no reason an excellent PC game can't be an excellent console game as well just because it's a port.
